Description

A classic homemade Margherita pizza with fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and olive oil.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 2 large tomatoes (thinly sliced)
  • 1 Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C)
  2. Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
  3. Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  4. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
  5. Arrange the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella over the sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then drizzle with olive oil."
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese over the pizza before baking.
