- 1 pound pizza dough
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 2 large tomatoes (thinly sliced)
- 1 Fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C)
- Roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle on a floured surface.
- Transfer the dough to a pizza pan or baking sheet.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Arrange the sliced tomatoes and mozzarella over the sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper, then drizzle with olive oil."
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve hot.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese over the pizza before baking.
