Description

This crisp, cozy twist on a classic margarita blends reposado tequila with fresh lime and apple cider, lightly sweetened with agave. Shake, strain, and sip with a cinnamon stick for aromatic fall vibes in every glass.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Cocktail

  • 2 oz Teremana Reposado Tequila (A quality reposado adds notes of oak and vanilla.)
  • 0.75 oz Fresh lime juice (Freshly squeezed is non-negotiable for the best flavor.)
  • 1 oz Apple cider (Use a good quality, crisp, unfiltered cider if possible.)
  • 0.5 oz Agave nectar (Adjust to your preferred level of sweetness.)

Garnish

  • 1 Cinnamon stick (Aromatic garnish.)

Instructions

  1. Gather your ingredients and tools: tequila, lime juice, apple cider, agave nectar, cocktail shaker, jigger, strainer, and a rocks glass. Tip: Chill the rocks glass in the freezer for a few minutes for a colder sip.
  2. Combine ingredients in a shaker: Add 2 oz reposado tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz apple cider, and 0.5 oz agave nectar to your shaker.
  3. Shake with ice: Fill the shaker two-thirds with ice, seal, and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds until the exterior frosts. This chills and properly dilutes the drink.
  4. Strain and serve: Add fresh ice to the chilled rocks glass. Using a strainer, pour the margarita over the fresh ice. Always use fresh ice for serving to avoid excess dilution.
  5. Garnish and enjoy: Tuck a cinnamon stick into the glass for a fragrant finish. Serve immediately.

Notes

Optional rim: Mix cinnamon and sugar or use flaky salt for the rim. For a lighter drink, top with a splash of soda water. Try a blanco tequila for a brighter profile, or add a dash of orange liqueur for complexity.
