Description
Make your own ultra-cheap ranch dressing mix with pantry staples in under 5 minutes. One batch yields about 16 servings at just pennies each—perfect for salad dressings, dips, or seasoning.

- 1 cup Buttermilk powder (Dry*)
- 2 tbsp Dried parsley flakes
- 2 tsp Dill weed
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 tsp Garlic salt
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
- 2 tsp Dry minced onion
- 2 tsp Onion powder
Instructions
Combine:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk all ingredients together until evenly distributed.
Store:
- Transfer the mix to an airtight container or jar. Label and date.
Use:
- For 1 cup of dressing, stir 2 Tbsp of mix into 1 cup of sour cream, mayonnaise, or buttermilk (or any combination) and whisk until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Notes
*If you can’t find buttermilk powder, substitute 1 cup powdered nonfat milk + 1 Tbsp citric acid.
- Store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
- Double or halve the recipe as needed.
