Description

Make your own ultra-cheap ranch dressing mix with pantry staples in under 5 minutes. One batch yields about 16 servings at just pennies each—perfect for salad dressings, dips, or seasoning.


Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup Buttermilk powder (Dry*)
  • 2 tbsp Dried parsley flakes
  • 2 tsp Dill weed
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Garlic salt
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp Dry minced onion
  • 2 tsp Onion powder

Instructions

Combine:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk all ingredients together until evenly distributed.

Store:

  1. Transfer the mix to an airtight container or jar. Label and date.

Use:

  1. For 1 cup of dressing, stir 2 Tbsp of mix into 1 cup of sour cream, mayonnaise, or buttermilk (or any combination) and whisk until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

Notes

*If you can’t find buttermilk powder, substitute 1 cup powdered nonfat milk + 1 Tbsp citric acid.
