Ingredients

Units Scale

For the Beef and Broccoli:

  • 1 lb Beef sirloin or flank steak (Thinly sliced against the grain)
  • 4 cups Broccoli florets (Fresh cut into bite-sized pieces)
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil (Divided; for marinating and drizzling)

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar (Or honey for a touch of sweetness)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes (Optional adjust for heat)

For Garnish:

  • A handful: Sesame seeds (Toasted for garnish)
  • 2 Green onions sliced ( For garnish)

Instructions

Preheat & Prepare:

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Marinate the Beef:

  1. In a mixing bowl, toss the thinly sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Add red pepper flakes (if using) and set aside while you prepare the broccoli.

Toss Beef and Broccoli in Sauce:

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the broccoli florets to the bowl along with the beef. Toss thoroughly so everything is evenly coated in the sauce.

Roast on Sheet Pan:

  1. Spread the beef and broccoli mixture evenly on the prepared sheet pan in a single layer.
  2. Drizzle the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over the top.
  3. Roast in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness and the broccoli is tender-crisp.

Garnish and Serve:

  1. Remove from the oven and transfer to serving plates.
  2. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving immediately.

Notes

For even cooking, ensure beef slices are uniformly thin and broccoli is cut to similar sizes.
Adjust the sauce ingredients to suit your taste—more brown sugar for sweetness or extra red pepper flakes for heat.
This dish pairs wonderfully with steamed rice or noodles if desired, though it’s perfect on its own as a quick, healthy dinner option.
Enjoy your Sheet Pan Chinese Beef Broccoli—a quick, flavorful, and satisfying meal for even the busiest nights!
