  • 1 cup Classic Coca-Cola
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp rice wine
  • 3 slices fresh ginger (thinly sliced)
  • 2 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep wings: If whole, separate wings into flats and drumettes (save tips for stock). Toss wing pieces with 2 Tbsp soy sauce until evenly coated.
  2. Sear for color: Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over medium‑high until shimmering. Add wings in a single layer (work in batches if needed) and sear ~3 minutes per side until golden brown.
    Pro Tip: Don’t overcrowd the pan or the wings will steam, not sear.
  3. Build the glaze: Pour in Coca‑Cola, add rice wine and ginger. Stir to combine and scrape up browned bits. Bring to an active simmer.
  4. Simmer & reduce: Lower to medium‑low and cook 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid reduces to a thick, sticky glaze that coats the wings.
