Recipe by Evelyn Marcella Rivera

A gorgeous no-bake layered dessert with crushed Oreo dirt, a creamy vanilla pudding and cream cheese filling, and festive pastel candy toppings. The easiest crowd-pleasing Easter dessert you’ll ever make.

  • Total Time2 hours 20 minutes
  • Yield12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 14 oz Oreo cookies, crushed (1 package)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened (1 package)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3.4 oz instant vanilla pudding mix (1 package)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping, thawed (1 container)
  • 1 cup pastel candy-coated chocolates (such as M&M's)
  • 1/2 cup mini Oreo cookies (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreos: In a food processor or with a rolling pin, crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs. Set aside.
  2. Make the Cream Cheese Layer: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, butter, and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Build the Pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk for about 2 minutes until thickened.
  4. Combine the Mixtures: Fold the pudding mixture into the cream cheese mixture until smooth.
  5. Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  6. Layer the Base: Spread half of the crushed Oreos evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch glass dish.
  7. Add the Filling: Spread the creamy pudding mixture evenly over the Oreo base.
  8. Top with Dirt: Sprinkle the remaining crushed Oreos on top.
  9. Decorate and Chill: Decorate with pastel-colored candies and mini Oreo cookies. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Cream cheese and butter must be fully softened for a smooth filling. Crush Oreos to fine crumbs for the best base. Fold whipped topping gently to keep the filling light. Chill for a minimum of 2 hours; overnight is even better. Use a glass dish to show off the layers.
